A crunchy and healthy bread alternative.

New obsession here!
Crackers made with oats and seeds that you can use as an alternative to bread. You will only need a few ingredients and almost no effort to prepare them. They are good with any kind of spread, sweet, or savory.
You can use any kind of seeds but it’s important to keep the flax seeds (or chia will work as well) as they get slimy when soaked and this will help to create a sticky dough easy to roll.
It’s always a good idea to add seeds to any diet because they are great sources of fiber. They also contain healthy fats and many important vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Oat & Seed Crackers with Sweet Potato Hummus
Oat and Seed Crackers
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup flax seeds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and let soak for at least 15 minutes (up to one hour or more). After this time, the ingredients should become like a sticky dough. Roll this dough on parchment paper about 3-4 mm thick (if it's too sticky use a second sheet to prevent it from sticking to the rolling pin). Place on a baking tray and insert it in the preheated oven (at 180° C). Bake for about 15 – 20 minutes and then turn off the oven. Let dry inside the oven for another 10 – 20 minutes.
